Biography
Scott is a Fixed-Term Faculty member within the Eli and Edyth Broad College of Business. He teaches Introduction to Business classes which provides students a foundational knowledge of business and how the disciplines interact and interconnect.
Before joining Michigan State University, Scott had a successful career within consumer packaged goods marketing, sales and leadership. Scott held numerous roles at the Kellogg Company for 26 years. Scott led the growth strategies for several critical brands and customers within the organization (Brands: Pop-tarts, Cheez-it, Keebler Cookies, Eggo, Cereals in the French market; Customers: WalMart, Costco, Kroger, Publix, Meijer, Dollar General, Walgreens, Amazon). Additionally, Scott led several transformative projects changing the trajectory of the business, the organization and results.
Scott moved into teaching in 2025 to leverage his experiences to help students better understand how businesses operate and thrive. He has passion for driving traction via strong grounding in the fundamental business principles and disciplined strategies. Helping students get the most out of class and preparing them for the future is something that Scott has found to be extremely rewarding. His philosophy in his career has been that success is when your team thrives in the job and in life - and this is true in education as well.
