Michelle MaÃ?Â±as, CMP, CTA serves as an Event Manager with
The James B. Henry Center for Executive Development at Michigan State
University. She has been a member of The Henry Center
Staff since May 2006 and is primarily responsible for working directly with
clients to finalize meeting and event details, along with providing support to
the Sales Department.
In March of 2006, Michelle received her Certified Meeting Professional
Designation issued by the Convention Industry Council. The CMP designation is a premier
certification in the industry and recognizes the highest level of experience,
professionalism, skill and knowledge. In
September 2010, Michelle received her Certified Tourism Ambassador designation
through the Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau. The CTA designation has allowed Michelle to
build her knowledge of the local area, thus being able to be a service to her
clients while visiting the area.
Prior to joining the Henry Center staff, Michelle worked
with the Michigan Nurses Association and Michigan Campus Compact as an Event
Coordinator, Administrative Assistant.
