  • Biography
    Before his role as Professor, Che was the Executive Director of the Community Health Corps focusing on leveraging data to better serve Detroit residents by developing strategic partnerships with non-profit entities across southeastern Michigan.  Prior to that experience, Che was the Chief Financial Officer of Central City Integrated Health focusing on developing metrics and utilizing data to inform the organization’s decision-making.  While at Central City Integrated Health, Che provided the oversight, administration and reporting of grants from the philanthropic community, City of Detroit, Wayne County and U.S. governmental agencies.  

    His key area of experience lies in driving teams through the development and implementation of strategic procedures and systems, while establishing effective operational processes to drive business success and control costs.   Che is a licensed attorney and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, Master of Science in Accounting and Juris Doctorate degrees from Michigan State University. He sits on multiple boards aimed at serving those most vulnerable Detroit residents.
