  • Biography
    Dr. Judith Whipple is the Interim Dean of the Broad College of Business.

    Dr. Whipple is also the Bowersox-Thull Endowed Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Prior to this, she directed the Food Industry Management Program at MSU. Dr. Whipple has extensive teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate level, teaching in the Full-time MBA, Executive MBA, MS-SCM and doctoral programs. Dr. Whipple was awarded the MSU Teacher Scholar Award for excellence in teaching and research, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) Educators Conference Teaching Innovation Award, and various best paper awards, including the Bernard J. La Londe Best Paper Award of the Journal of Business Logistics. Dr. Whipple's research interests include supply chain integration and collaboration. Judy has published work in numerous logistics, supply chain and marketing journals. For her contribution to the field of supply chain management, she was selected as a DC Velocity Rainmaker. She previously served on the Board of Directors at CSCMP, chaired its Research Strategies Committee and co-chaired its Supply Chain Innovation Award. Dr. Whipple currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Institute for Supply Management (ISM).
