You don’t have to wait until Pi Day for pie or to help others.
Starting Tuesday, March 12 through Thursday, March 14 — the latter of which is also known as Pi Day, celebrating the mathematical constant of 3.14 — the Graduate Supply Chain Management Association will be selling slices of Grand Traverse Pie Company pies with proceeds benefiting the Small Talk Children’s Advocacy Center.
Small Talk, located in Lansing, provides abuse counseling and advocacy services to children in need. Partnered with the National Children’s Alliance and Capital Area United Way, Small Talk offers no-cost support from law enforcement, counselors, trained interviewers, medical personnel and prosecutors for children in the Greater Lansing area.
“Community is a big part of what MSU’s MBA program is about,” said Jeff Roberts, president of the GSCMA. “We are honored that Grand Traverse Pie and Broad MBA students are continuing our commitment to community, partnering to help Small Talk and the children they are helping. This is the fourth year we have held the Pi Day event and look forward to many more.”
Pies will cost $3 per slice and will be available between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day of the event on the ground floor of the Business College Complex near the 632 Bogue St. entrance and by the Starbucks and Broad Store locations.
Last year’s sale raised $1,300 for Small Talk.
