Master’s in Business Data Science and Analytics Financial Aid

For financial aid purposes, the M.S. in Business Data Science and Analytics is considered a full-time graduate program. Full-time graduate education and financial aid are based on nine or more credits in any given semester. Many students may qualify for financial aid in the form of student loans. Here are a few of the most common student loan options:

  • Subsidized Stafford Loan: This federal loan is available to graduate students based on demonstrated financial need. Students are not charged interest before they begin repayment or during periods of deferment. The federal government “subsidizes” or pays the interest during these times. The annual loan maximum is $8,500. No payment is required until six months after completing the program.
  • Direct Subsidized Loan: This federally guaranteed loan is not based on financial need. Interest begins accumulating at disbursement, but no payment is required until six months after completing the program. The annual loan maximum is $12,000.
  • Federal Graduate PLUS Loan: This loan is not based on financial need. Interest begins accumulating at disbursement, but no payment is required until 30 to 60 days after completing the program. The annual loan maximum is the student’s budget minus all other aid.
