“I am happy to work with Interim Dean Designee Judith Whipple and the rest of the Broad College leadership team during this time of transition,” Hogan said.

In this role, Hogan will be responsible for academic human resources and budget for our faculty. In addition, she will oversee the college’s doctoral programs, including supporting their recruitment, supervision and placements.

She will forge strong relationships with partners across campus while working closely with associate deans, assistant deans and academic unit heads to address related matters.

Since 2006, Hogan has served the college enthusiastically in various capacities. She has served as co-director of the accounting doctoral program and, most recently, was chairperson of the Department of Accounting and Information Systems from 2017 to 2022.

Hogan is an award-winning scholar, earning recognition both for her teaching and research. Her work focuses on auditing topics such as the impact of regulation on auditing, auditor industry specialization, auditor-client alignment, internal control issues and the impact of auditing on earnings announcement reliability.

As associate dean, Hogan is eager to apply her past experiences to continue to lead the college towards excellence.

“My experience as a department chair will allow me to jump into the role quickly and continue the work of supporting our faculty and doctoral students,” she said.
