Gartner just released its list of the top undergraduate supply chain management programs for 2014, with Michigan State University coming in at number one (tied with Penn State University).
MSU was also featured at the number one spot for the categories of “Industry Value Leaders” and “Program Size Leaders.”
The report, which featured 40 institutions, looked to identify strengths and gaps as well as identify overall progress made in the last three years. The Gartner ranking comes less than a year after U.S. News & World Report named MSU the top SCM/logistics school in America for the third year in a row.
The undergraduate program in the Eli Broad College of Business integrates topics from manufacturing operations, purchasing, transportation and physical distribution in to a unified program. The program offers integration among these critical, value-adding components to enhance global competitiveness. The objectives are to provide students with a comprehensive background in each area and also to allow students to pursue concentrations within their areas of interest.
