As the president of the Multicultural MBA Association within the Broad Full-Time MBA program, I have always been passionate about promoting and influencing cross-cultural participation. This role has allowed me to act in concert under a common purpose, fostering an environment where diversity is celebrated and valued. Our events range from vibrant cultural celebrations to insightful sessions on International Business, highlighting how culture significantly impacts global commerce. These experiences not only enrich our members’ understanding but also prepare them to navigate and succeed in a diverse business world.
In addition to my role in the Multicultural MBA Association, I am also the founder and president of the Run Club within the MBA program. This club has been a fantastic platform for promoting fitness and camaraderie among students. We host weekly runs that bring together a diverse group of individuals, all united by a common interest in running. One of our most cherished events is the Veterans Day run and brunch, organized in partnership with the MBA Veterans Association. This event not only honors our veterans, but also strengthens the bonds within our community.
Being the president of the Run Club has inspired me to push my own fitness boundaries. I am currently training for my first triathlon, an Ironman 70.3 scheduled for May 2025. This journey has been both challenging and rewarding, as I learn to balance the demands of swimming, cycling, and running. To better prepare for this event, I joined the MSU Triathlon Club. Here, I am gaining invaluable insights and training tips from experienced triathletes, which are helping me improve in each discipline.
Through my involvement in these clubs and student resource groups, I have learned the importance of leadership, community, and personal growth. These experiences have not only enriched my MBA journey but have also prepared me for future challenges, both professionally and personally. I am excited to continue promoting cross-cultural participation and fitness within our community, and I look forward to the many adventures that lie ahead.
