  • Biography
    Daniel Spadafore, Ph.D. serves as the Chief of Staff for the Broad College of Business at Michigan State University (MSU). Spadafore received a Bachelor of Science in Social Science from Eastern Michigan University, a Master of Arts in Higher, Adult and Lifelong Education from MSU, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from Eastern Michigan University. In his role as Chief of Staff, Spadafore plays a pivotal role in the college’s success by acting as an advisor to the Dean, overseeing operational activities, and spearheading special projects. Spadafore has dedicated his professional career to creating environments where students, faculty, and staff will thrive. Prior to his current role, Spadafore played a strategic role in strengthening ties with alumni, cultivating support for MSU, and advancing its mission in a variety of roles in alumni relations and development. In April of 2020, Spadafore expanded his reach and impact through a promotion to Senior Director for International Advancement. In addition to leading the team responsible for international corporate and foundation relations and international alumni engagement, Spadafore supported the University President and other senior administrators on international trips and donor engagement. Spadafore’s 15 years of experience in higher education administration has allowed him to author, co-author and collaborate on several published articles related to student experience, educational excellence, and societal impact in higher education. In addition to his role at the university, Spadafore is committed to making his community a better place to live and work. He dedicates his time to philanthropic initiatives including serving on the MSUFCU’s Desk Drawer Foundation Board of Directors.
