Biography Prof. Mike Mickunas
Prof. Mickunas is the Academic Program Director for the Masters of Science in Market Research and Analytics (MSMRA) program within the Eli and Edyth Broad College of Business. He teaches marketing and market research classes across the MSMRA, MBA and undergraduate programs while partnering with industry leaders to continually update and evolve our curriculum.
Before joining Michigan State University, Prof. Mickunas had a successful career within consumer packaged goods marketing and research. Mike led the Global Insights & Analytics organization at the Kellogg Company, directing the strategies and efforts of teams across the world. Across his 24 year career, he focused on discovering consumer and shopper insights to drive growth for brands and customers, and used a range of research techniques and advanced analytics to understand the root causes of business performance to optimize the impact of our investments.
Prof. Mickunas moved into teaching in 2020 to help current and future marketing professionals build the mindset and skills needed to compete and win in the business world. He believes in pragmatic, actionable solutions that are built from sound principles and technical skills. At the heart of what we do is the need to build confidence and inspire action.
