Meet our Interim Associate Director, Dr. Jeff Beck
Q: Why did you want to become a Spartan?
A: I have always considered Michigan State to have one of the best hospitality programs in the country! I wanted to become a part of this historic program. I even considered transferring to Michigan State during my sophomore year at the University of Indiana.
Q: What motivated you to become a professor in hospitality business?
A: While I was working for Marriott in Seattle I had a chance to teach part time at Washington State University. During my time at Washington State I received great feedback from students and fell in loved the atmosphere of teaching!
Q: What is one fun fact about you?
A: I have my pilot’s license!
Q: What advice do you have for students today?
A: Work hard and play hard! Try to pay attention to the little details.
