Susan Haka, EY Endowed Professor of Accounting, was named as the recipient of the 2016 American Accounting Association Lifetime Contribution Award, which honors those who have made an important mark on management accounting education, research, and practice.
The recognition honored her lengthy research record on the role of accounting systems in business processes and her management accounting teaching. Haka has also served as the president of the American Accounting Association (AAA), co-authored two textbooks, and served as editor of Behavioral Research in Accounting.
Her past award recognition includes the Michigan State University Distinguished Faculty Award, the MSU Teacher-Scholar Award, and the American Accounting Association Outstanding Educator Award.
The Lifetime Contribution Award was presented at the AAA Management Accounting Section Midyear Meeting January 9.
