Biography Michael McCall, Ph.D is a Professor, Hilton Hotels Fellow in The School of Hospitality Business at Michigan State University. I earned my Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Arizona State University and have held academic positions in psychology, marketing and hospitality at Ithaca College and Cornell University. My research is consumer science focused and examines the the basic question of why people join loyalty programs. I serve on the editorial boards of The Cornell Hospitality Quarterly and The Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research. My work has won two Industry Relevance Awards from the Cornell Center for Hospitality Research and has appeared in the Journal of Applied Psychology, Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, Journal of Socio-Economics, and the International Journal of Hospitality Management. I have served as a expert legal witness on matters related to customer loyalty and decision making.
