GMAT Waiver Pilot Initiative

Michigan State’s Full-Time MBA is seeking high-caliber individuals who have progressive professional experience with strong communication and interpersonal skills. A select number of domestic MBA candidates will be considered for admission without a GMAT or GRE score. These candidates must meet additional requirements to ensure success in the MBA curriculum.

GMAT Waiver Requirements

  • A four-year undergraduate degree

And at least one of the following:

  • Four or more years of progressive post-undergraduate full-time work experience


  • Four or more years of full-time active military experience


  • An advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate)


  • A professional credential of CPA or CFA

How to Apply

  • Complete the online MBA application
  • In the Test Score section of the application, select the GMAT/GRE waiver request option
  • Submit your application during any of our application rounds

Additional Application and Program Requirements:

  • An evaluative interview by a Russell Palmer Career Management Center advisor
  • Successful completion of non-credit online pre-requisite courses post-admission (August deadline)
