Closing Care Gaps by Providing Free Essential Items to All of the Broad Community

The Broad Care Center is a free resource for all students, faculty, and staff affiliated with the Eli Broad College of Business. The Center aims to help reduce stress, support student success, and promote community well-being. We offer the following:

  • Quick snacks
  • Hygiene Products
  • Menstrual Products
  • Household Items

Difficulty accessing essential items causes stress and diverts students’ focus from academics. According to the 2020 Michigan State University Student Health Assessment, 40% of students were classified as food insecure (Hembroff, 2020). While valuable resources like the MSU Food Bank exist on campus, the Broad Care Center is dedicated to bringing these crucial supports closer to the Broad Business Complex community, making it easier for students, faculty, and staff to access what they need.

To get items from the Broad Care Center, you can either place a mobile order for pickup or book an appointment with one of our team members to browse and choose items yourself. To place an order or book an appointment, please use this Qualtrics Form

Dash Bags are a go-to grab-and-go kit, designed to keep essential items within reach when you need them most. Whether you forgot your lunch, ran into an unexpected situation, or just need a few necessities, Dash Bags have you covered!

If you need an Dash Bag, please visit the Undergraduate Academic Services (UAS) office in the Broad College of Business, Eppley Center, Suite 101. UAS is open Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am-5pm.
